The two images below are of the same flower, only from two different angles.
What a difference! The first image is a standard picture of a flower in a garden. It has a little impact, the fence on the right gives depth, but it is otherwise normal and forgettable. The second image, on the right, however, captures a completely different aspect of the flower. Here, the flower is tall, alone rising above the others in it's effort to reach the sun. The backlighting adds a dramatic effect.
It's surprising the difference a little angle can make.


Great job! Flowers are tough to photograph because we always strive to find a way to make them different than the way everyone else sees them. You did a great job with that!
ReplyDeleteI like in the right picture the transparency of the leaves of the flower. It shows the solid parts of the flower better, and makes it stand out.
